Think-tank to discuss implementation of Kannada Language Integrated Development Bill-2022
The Kannada Sahitya Parishad, which is responsible for safeguarding the interests of Kannada-Kannadiga-Karnataka with the basic mission of protection, dissemination and development of Kannada language, literature, art, culture and folklore, will hold a special think-tank to discuss the Kannada Language Integrated Development Bill-2022 on October 12 at 11 am at Sri Krishnaraja Parishad Mandira Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Chamarajpet., Nadoja Dr. Mahesh Joshi said.
In its fifty-seventh report, the Karnataka Law Commission headed by Justice Shri S.R.Bannuramath had prepared the “Kannada Language Comprehensive Development Bill-2022” and submitted a proposal to the government to take necessary steps for the implementation of the report. In this report it is clearly stated that a bill will be made to provide for comprehensive development of Kannada language and provide better opportunities in education and employment to Kannadigas.
The Bill was introduced in the assembly session by Minister of Kannada and Culture V.Sunil Kumar on 22-09-2022. The Kannada Sahitya Parishad has organized a special think-tank involving eminent people of the state in view of the bill being discussed in the session to be held in Belgaum in December.
In this seminar, Hon'ble Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation and Minor Irrigation Minister Shri J.C. Madhuswamy, Hon'ble Minister of Kannada and Culture and Energy Mr. V. Sunil Kumar, Former Law Minister Mr. H.K. Patil, Jnanpith awardee Dr.Chandrasekhara Kambara, Senior Literary Dr. S.L. Bhairappa, Senior Literary Dr. Doddarange Gowda, retired Justices of the Karnataka High Court Shri Arali Nagaraja, including Shri H.S.Nagmohandas various dignitaries and subject experts will participate and present the issue.
